As part of a multi-phase, multi-year District Wide Capital Improvements project, the Maine-Endwell Central School District completed significant renovations to their Middle School. General purpose and art classrooms were created by reconfiguring space within the existing building. State of the art science classrooms were added to the building, along with a central receiving area for the district, and large rehearsal spaces for the band and chorus. Also included was a renovation of the auditorium, which was doubled in size.
Throughout the entire facility, HVAC systems and lighting were removed and replaced, exterior windows and doors were replaced, and a new roof was installed. These updates resulted in considerable energy usage reductions.
The project also included the separation of bus traffic from small vehicle traffic and pedestrians, additional staff parking, the creation of additional playground space, and a JV football practice field.
